People from all walks of life do their best to perform romantic gestures for their significant others to profess their love. If you’re not from Goa, then a surprise trip to this beautiful state is the perfect choice for a mini getaway. Jet off to the land of smooth sailing and sunny days and experience a day out on the sea. After all, there is nothing more romantic than getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city to spend time with your one true love.A yachts motion can cause your dream cruise to turn into a nightmare  when you grow seasick. Motion sickness brings with it nausea, vomiting, dizziness, headaches, and cold sweats. The dreaded thought of spending an entire vacation sick in your cabin’s bathroom is a scary one, but that shouldn’t stop you from sailing! If however you happen to feel seasick while you’re out on a trip, here are a couple of suggestions to eliminate it.

  1. Avoid going below – Don’t climb down into your cabin. It may seem safe, but without fresh air it’s likely this enclosed rocking space will just make you feel worse. Fresh air, especially wind blowing in your face, tends to help. It also helps to focus on something other than the boat’s motion, so try to keep active while aboard the ship.
  2. Rest well – Be well rested before setting sail. Losing out on sleep and feeling exhausted make you more susceptible to factors that can cause motion sickness. Wind down before your trip. In fact if you feel you still need a bit of rest while on board, find a quiet, comfortable spot up on deck to lie down.
  3. Apply pressure – As a way to suppress the nausea associated with motion sickness, centuries old traditional Chinese medicine has included acupuncture or acupressure on the inside of the wrist, at a spot called P6 . You can find simple pressure bands, also called wristbands that apply pressure to a point on the wrist, generally where you wear a watch. You can find acupressure wristbands in some pharmacies, or order them from online stores.
  4. Medicate yourself – If you happen to have a history of getting sea sick, or feel that you just might, pay your doctor a visit and he will prescribe medication for such a case. Besides this, make sure you carry your personal first aid kit.

Once you’ve taken the above precautions, your next step is to book the perfect yacht for your weekend trip.
